Cliste Hospitality embrace the future and welcome a new generation of the industry at Irish Hospitality Perspectives Conference
Along with an audience of hoteliers, investors, banks, and other key tourism industry stakeholders, Cliste Hospitality introduced the hospitality stars of the future to the professional world as they hosted a group of eager students at their second annual Irish Hospitality Perspectives Conference at Dublin Royal Convention Centre on Thursday 19th October. Believing strongly in education and with a keen eye on inspiring the next generation to enter — and stay in — the hospitality industry, Cliste invited students to join the group of almost 400 attendees on the day.
Students and their school mentors travelled from TUS Midlands-Midwest Athlone Campus, Shannon College of Hotel Management – University of Galway, TUS Limerick Campus, LCETB, SETU Waterford Campus, TU Dublin, ATU Galway City, Dundalk IT (DkIT) and internationally from CCI de Maine et Loire to meet with industry leaders and hear a variety of talks and panel discussions. With a theme this year of Embracing The Future, MC for the day was Anton Savage with the keynote address given by Paul Armstrong, the future technology advisor who is a trusted voice for some of the world’s leading global media outlets, who gave a useful and frank presentation on the short term impact of AI in hospitality.
“We were delighted to deliver this second annual conference to our industry colleagues and to build a panel of speakers that could really tackle the theme this year of Embracing The Future,” said Sean O’Driscoll, Director of Hotels, Cliste Hospitality. “It seemed very appropriate to have so many excellent students attend from tourism and hospitality universities & colleges from all corners of the country. They are the future of the industry and it was our privilege to host them on the day. When we see their enthusiasm and commitment to the sector, we feel the future is most certainly bright.”
